Today Theme park Toverland welcomed its 7 millionth guest since the park opened its doors on 19 May 2001. Family Maurissen-Coninx had a magical surprise at the start of their day out. A special moment for both the family and the theme park.
The family from the Belgian city Bree received a festive reception by general director Caroline Kortooms. The fortunate visitors received an even bigger place in the spotlights by Toos Toverhoed who offered them a subscription that allows the family to enjoy the attractions, shows and magic every day of the year. “Wow, overwhelming, unexpected and really nice. It’s the third time that we visit Toverland with our two sons. And to imagine that at first we wanted to visit the park on a different day”, said the surprised couple Bart and Annemie with a smile.
It is a festive season for the theme park, which celebrates its fifteen year anniversary. The ambitious family business looks back at 15 magical years. With as a highlight the opening of the largest wooden roller coaster of the Benelux Troy (2007) and the magical theme area the Magische Vallei (2013), for which the theme park received multiple international rewards.
