Province Limburg and Toverland continue test with shuttle bus

This summer holiday it is going to be even easier to reach Toverland thanks to a special shuttle bus that goes from Horst-Sevenum train station. It is the continuation of a trial that started last year for the first time. With the help of this trial, it is possible to determine the size of transport demand towards Toverland. The trial starts on Saturday 7 July 2018, together with the opening of the largest expansion in the history of the theme park.

At the moment it is not possible to reach Toverland by bus from the nearest train station Horst-Sevenum during the weekends and evenings. This is going to change from Saturday 7 July 2018. A special shuttle bus (line 179) will be used during weekends, and that same bus service can be used throughout the week during the evening hours as an addition to the regular bus service (line 79) towards Toverland.

“Next Saturday we open two new theme areas and therefore we expect to welcome more guests than ever. This special shuttle bus makes it easier for people who use public transport to reach us during the summer holidays”, says commercial director Carin van Berkel. “Furthermore, reachability by public transport lies within our sustainability targets and Toverland’s ambition to grow.” The realisation of this shuttle service is a cooperation between the province of Limburg and Toverland. The special shuttle service is carried-out by Arriva.

Time table

The shuttle bus can be used from Saturday 7 July 2018 until Sunday 26 August 2018. Toverland is open every day from 10.00 to 18.00 hours during this period. The time table of the shuttle bus matches the theme park’s opening times. During the Midsummer evenings that are organised on seven Wednesdays during the summer holidays, Toverland doesn’t even close until 23.00 hours. Also on those evenings it’s possible to use the shuttle bus. A time table can be found on the route planners of Arriva and Dutch rail company NS and also via website
