Theme park Toverland welcomes its 8,000,000th visitor

Sixteen-and-a-half years after its first opening day, Toverland had the pleasure to receive its eight millionth visitor. A milestone that the theme park didn't want to leave unnoticed. The Visscher family and the Van Bijnen family were put in the spotlights during their annual dad-child-trip.

A special welcoming committee waited near the main entrance to welcome both happy families. The Visscher family and the Van Bijnen family entered the gates covered in confetti. “Super cool and great fun” where the first words spoken by the surprised dads. The reason for their visit was their annual dad-child-trip. For dad Visscher is this the first ever visit to the theme park. “This is a really good start of the day!”, he jokes. Communication manager Tessa Maessen offered them, besides flowers and a huge cheque, also an annual pass. “Maybe we'll be here again next week”, said both dads.

Magical future

Eight million visitors have enjoyed the magic of Toverland since it first opened on 19 May 2001. In 2018, the biggest expansion in the history of the theme park is on the agenda. Toverland will open a new entrance and a new theme area, called Avalon, with the spectacular wing coaster Fēnix and the magical boat ride Merlin’s Quest. This expansion of seven hectares is going to cost approximately 35 million euros. Those who are interested can see the latest news via website 2018.toverland.com.
